Mary Sterry

Mary E. Sterry, age 80, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at The Maple Wood in Bloomer. She was born June 12, 1930 in Menomonie WI, to Fred & Mary Etta (Brewer) Williamson. She was first married to Pierre Robichaud and after his passing she married John W. Sterry on October 28, 1967 in Ironwood MI. Mary was a talented teacher of 17 years. A number of her students remained in contact with her throughout her life. She enjoyed reading, playing cards and time spent with family and friends.

She is survived by one son: John Robichaud of Eau Claire; one daughter: Susan (Reid) Dachenbach of Chippewa Falls; one step-son: Ron (Sharon) Sterry of Lakeview MN; one brother: John (Janet) Williamson of Elmwood WI; one sister: Romona Reidt of Menomonie WI; two grandchildren: Shawn Robichaud and Rachel Dachenbach; two great-grandchildren: Seth Robichaud and Bailey Robichaud; two step-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands: Pierre Robichaud and John Sterry; two brothers: Marshall & Eldon Williamson; one sister: Dorothy Thompson; one great-granddaughter: Skylar Robichaud.

A memorial service will be held at the Bloomer Baptist Church on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Eldon Carlson officiating. Interment of cremains will be in the Riverview Cemetery in Downsville WI. Friends may call from 10:00 AM on Saturday until the time of service at the church. The family would like to thank the staff of the Luther Midelfort Chippewa Valley Maplewood for all their loving care of Mary.
