Obituary for Mary Jane Patrow

Mary Jane Patrow, age 87, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. She was born November 22, 1923 in Park Falls, Wisconsin to Charles and Lucy (French) Chamberlain. She married Paul “Bud” Guyton Patrow on May 3, 1942 at Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. She was a 1941 graduate of Eau Claire High School, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a “Gold Star Mother.” She loved reading and was an accomplished seamstress making all of her daughters clothing. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed family gatherings.

She is survived by two sons: Gregory (Debra) Patrow of Bloomer and Randy (Deborah) Patrow of Eau Claire; one daughter: Carolyn (James) VanGorden of Bloomer; eight grandchildren: Mary (Cecil) Miller of Roscoe IL, Catherine (Tom) Duex of Bloomer; Emily (Jim) Voss of Duluth, Lisa (Michael) Cushman of Eau Claire, Adam (Tabetha) Patrow of Chippewa Falls, Vanessa Sather of Bloomer, Nickolas Patrow of Eau Claire and Travis Patrow of Eau Claire; ten great-grandchildren: Elizabeth, Autumn, James, Tyler, Nora, Joe, Luke, Ryan, Guyton and Madison.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Bud; son: Mike; sister: Florence Barnes; special nephew: Charles A. Barnes.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 12:00 PM at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer with David W. Olson officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment of cremains will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Eau Claire.
