Mary Jo Meuli, age 83, of Cornell Lake, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems Hospital in Eau Claire, WI.
Mary Jo was born on January 8, 1942, in Saint Paul, MN, to William and Mary Jane (Meyers) Keenan. She attended school in Eau Claire and graduated from Regis High School. On June 4, 1966, Mary Jo married the love of her life, Allan R. Meuli at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eau Claire. She worked as a medical transcriptionist for 46 years at Sacred Heart Hospital, Luther Hospital and Quello Clinic in Minnesota.
Mary Jo was filled with energy and vitality up until recent health challenges. She volunteered at the Bloomer Food Pantry, took communion to the home-bound and was always willing to sign up for adoration time. She also enjoyed decorating for every occasion, making her home a festive place for family to come and visit. The grandchildren had a special place in her heart and always brought a smile to her face. Mary Jo was very devoted to her church, strong in her faith and loved praying the rosary on a daily basis.
Mary Jo is survived by three children: Allan (Megan) Meuli of Richfield, MN, Kelly (Barry) Collins of Apple Valley, MN and Dan (Melyssa) Meuli of Burnsville, MN; one sister: Michele Aubert; 10 grandchildren: Madeline and Angela Meuli, Isabelle, Atlas, Katherine, Gabrielle, Monica, Alyssa and William Collins, and Connor Meuli; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Jane Keenan; husband: Allan R. Meuli; and brother-in-law: Richard Aubert.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30 PM, on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bloomer. A visitation will begin one hour prior to Mass on Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at Saint Catherine’s Catholic Cemetery in Bloomer. A luncheon will be served in church basement following the burial. Olson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bloomer is assisting the family with arrangements.
