Marshall R. Thompson

Marshall R. Thompson, age 17, passed away Friday January 24, 2025 at his home. 

Marshall was born on June 22, 2007 in Chippewa Falls and was the son of James and Jennifer (Short) Thompson. He was a Senior at Bloomer High School and worked for Kaddy Enterprise in Colfax. Marshall was a witty person with a clever sense of humor. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, cooking, baking, working and spending time with his family and friends. 

Marshall is survived by his parents: Jimmy and Jennifer Thompson; brothers: Caleb (Kara Metheny) Thompson, Isaac (Corrin Rogge) Thompson, and Mark Thompson; sisters: Tayla (Hunter) Julson, Robin Thompson and Brandy Thompson; paternal grandfather: Lester Thompson; maternal grandparents: Judy Lang, Dale and Leane Short; numerous other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather: Bruce Raeburn; paternal grandmother: Tammy Thompson. 

A celebration of Marshall’s life will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at 1:00 PM at the White Pine Pavilion in Bloomer followed by a luncheon/visitation from 1:30 – 3:00 PM. Burial will be at 3:00 PM at the Bloomer Cemetery.
