Marlys J. Haack, age 67, passed away at MCHS in Eau Claire on Monday, March 26, 2018. She was born on June 18, 1950 in Milwaukee to William and Mary (Trublic) Martens. She married George Haack on November 19, 1966. She and George were the owner and operator of Loon Lake Campground. Marlys loved to hop on her golf cart and cruise around the campground to visit with all the people staying there. She would take care of any animal, weather it was a dog, cat, deer, squirrel....she loved them all. She even fostered and trained a monkey for the Helping Hands Organization, which works with quadriplegics.
She is survived by her husband: George of New Auburn, sons: Scott (Tracy) of Cameron and Philip (Carey Geist) Haack of Bloomer; daughter: Becky (Jim Lewis) Haack of Ridgeland; brother William Martens of Belgium WI and sister: Cheryl Stefanski of Chetek; 8 grandchildren; numerous, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents: William and Mary; daughter in-law: Heidi Haack
A time of gathering will be held on Friday, March 30, 2018 from 3:00-6:00 PM at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer. There will be a time for sharing stories at 6:00 PM on Friday. Online condolences may be expressed at olsonfuneralhomebloomer.com
