Marlene A. North, age 86, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2019 at MCHS in Eau Claire. She was born April 12, 1933 in Prairie Farm Wisconsin to Thorvold and Elsie (Wiseman) Rolstad. She married Warren K. North on January 7, 1950 in Pine City MN. Marlene was a school bus driver and a mail carrier for the US Post Office. She served as the chauffeur to her children’s numerous ball games and was their biggest fan. When her grandchildren began playing ball, she wouldn’t want to miss a game. In her spare time she enjoyed baking, camping, traveling, watching the Brewers and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her sons: Dan North, Toney (Patricia) North and Mark (Debra) North all of New Auburn; daughter: Cindy Skaw of Bloomer; daughter-in-law: Colleen North of Rice Lake, 15 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Thorvold and Elsie (Wiseman) Rolstad; husband: Warren; son: Steven North; sisters: Euna Kahl and Geraldine O’Rourke; brother: Virgil “Sonny” Rolstad.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 12:00 PM at St. Jude’s Church in New Auburn with a visitation two hours before the service at the church. Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer is assisting the family.
