Obituary for Marlene E. Lueck

Marlene E. Lueck age 92, passed away at MCHS in Bloomer on Saturday, December 22, 2018. She was born on March 2, 1926 in town of Bloomer in Chippewa County to Fredrick and Anna (Oldenberg) Gravunder. Marlene and Norbert worked together on the farm and loved her children, grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren as well as her siblings. She looked forward to visits from her family and always had a lunch ready when they came over. She was such a good cook her family convinced her to write a cookbook with her favorite recipes. She had an amazing garden with row after row of all sorts of fruits and vegetables and of course potatoes. Later in life she enjoyed traveling and then shared her adventures with her family and friends.

She is survived by her sons: Rodney (Penne Freyberger) Lueck of Menomonie , Randy (Cindy) Lueck of Bloomer, Roland Lueck of Bloomer and Ricky (Margaret) Lueck of Chippewa Falls; daughter: Norene Lueck of Eau Claire; brothers; Kenneth Gravunder of Chippewa Falls, Donald Gravunder of Bloomer, Duane (Lois) Gravunder of Rice Lake and Waldron “Billy” (Maryann) Gravunder of Stillwater; sisters: Beverly Hyland of Chippewa Falls and Gloria (Raymond) Hughes of Chippewa Falls; grandchildren: Renee, Rebecca, Ryan, Cassandra, Sean, Samantha, April and Jonathan; 7 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces nephews other relatives and friends

She was preceded in death by her parents: Fredrick and Anna Gravunder; her husband: Norbert Lueck; her brother: Marlin “Mike” Gravunder; her sister: Edna Bohl

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer with a visitation at the funeral home from 9:00-11:00 AM. Burial will be in the Bloomer Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at olsonfuneralhomebloomer.com
