Margaret Schroetter

Bloomer Margaret M. Schroetter, age 87, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Hetzel Care Center in Bloomer. She was born July 27, 1920 in the Town of Cook’s Valley, Chippewa County, to Ray & Mary (Seckora) Grandmaitre. She married Edward Schroetter on December 16, 1941 in Ames, Iowa. She worked on the family farm for many years and was a sales clerk for the Bloomer Bakery. She loved gardening, growing flowers and working with people. Her manicured flower gardens were always a pleasure to see and brought great joy to her as well as to those who admired them.

She is survived by one sons: John “Jack” (Val) Schroetter of Wild Rose, WI; one brother: Warren (Dixie) Grandmaitre of Missouri; one granddaughter: Mercedes Schroetter of Green Bay; one step-granddaughter: Naomi Bloomer of Sun Prairie; two step-great-grandchildren: Olivia & Stella Bloomer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Edward; one brother: Wallace; three sisters: Irene, Mabel & Geneva.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 15, 2008 at 2:00 PM at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bloomer with Deacon Richard Kostner officiating. Interment will be in the South Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM on Friday at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer. There will be no visitation Thursday evening.
