Marcia M. Jacobs

Marcia M. Jacobs, age 90, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Our House Senior Living in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.

Marcia was born on July 5, 1935, in Minnesota to Cecil and Grace (Chilson) Fosburgh. She married John “Jack” Butterfield and they later divorced. On December 12, 1999, Marcia married William L. Jacobs. She worked as a secretary for Stockman Chiropractic in Bloomer and Lake Wissota. When Marcia wasn’t working she enjoyed the simple things in life, taking a walk and spending time with her loved ones.

Marcia is survived by her husband: Bill Jacobs of New Auburn; six children: John (Monique) Butterfield, Ronald (Lori) Butterfield, Kenneth (Karie) Butterfield, Debra (Mark) North, Charles (Kim) Butterfield and Brian (Darla) Butterfield; 27 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; one brother: Jim (Debra) Fosburgh; three sisters: Mary (Lloyd) Tripp, Yvonne Krostag and Karen (Jim) North; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Cecil and Grace Fosburgh; two sisters: Erma Fosburgh and June Garrigues; seven brothers: Robert, Aubrey, Hilary, Bill, Arlen, Cecil and Herbert Fosburgh.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Horizon’s Bar and Grill in Tilden. A Memorial Service will start at Noon on Saturday at Horizon’s, with a meal to follow. Burial will be at the Island Lake Cemetery. The family would like to thank hospice and Our House Senior Living for their years of care to Marcia. Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer is assisting the family with arrangements.
