Mae V. Frank

Mae V. Frank, age 87, passed away at Dove Healthcare in Bloomer on Saturday April 15, 2023.  She was born in Rusk County on May 18, 1935 to Walter and Helen (Wingert) Vetterkind.  She married Arlyn “Bunk” Frank on August 3, 1957.  Mae worked as a bookkeeper at Presto for many years and was a member of the Bloomer United Methodist Church.  She loved baking and visiting with her many friends, always interested in what was going on in their lives.  Mae was not able to have children of her own, but she loved all children with all her heart and was very active in the lives of her nieces and nephews.  She was the hub of her neighborhood and was always so grateful to all of her friends and neighbors.   

She is survived by her brothers:  Lavern “Fritz” (Nancy) Vetterkind of New Auburn and Jack Vetterkind of New Auburn; sisters: Marjorie Keen of Springfield, June (Darrell) Davis of Rockford, and Corrine (Lyle) Worthington of New Auburn; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Walter and Helen; husband: Arlyn “Bunk”; sisters: Dona Nelson, Lorraine Baehr, Virginia Vetterkind and Darlene Pearson of Rockford; brothers: Michael, Clifford “Kip”, Tracy, Richard and Gary Vetterkind; and her loving cat, Charlie.
