LuVerna  M North

LuVerna North of Bloomer, Wisconsin, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Atrium Assisted Living. She was born on March12, 1924, in Milton, Wisconsin, to the late Dean Stanley and Belva (Severance) Fox, Sr. She graduated from Milton Union High School. She married Rodney P. North on April 4, 1942, and resided in Rockford, Illinois, one year before moving to New Auburn, Wisconsin. They bought a farm down the road from his folks on County Road F. She was a long time member of the New Auburn Seventh Day Baptist Church, where she was pianist for many years and active in the Ladies' Aid. She shared her love of music with others as she gave piano lessons through the years. She also loved sewing, quilting, gardening, family time at the cottage, and reading.
LuVerna is survived by her children: Nancy (“Skip” Henry) Kreibach of Derby, Kansas, Karen (Mike) Sixel of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, David (Connie) North of Baldwin, Wisconsin; grandchildren: Michelle (Mike) Keyes, Steven Kreibach, Andre Werle, Shawn (Michelle) Werle, Eric (Renee)North, and Amber (Nathan) Elmer; thirteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rodney, and siblings Dean Stanley Fox, Jr., Phyllis Fox, Marilyn Fox, Barbara Johnson and son-in-law Lawrenz Werle.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM. on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at St. Jude's Catholic Church, 146 W. Main Street, New Auburn, with Pastor Wayne North officiating. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church. Burial will follow at New Auburn Cemetery. Olson Funeral Services are assisting the family with arrangements.
