Lucille Hilger

Lucille P. Hilger, age 93, passed away Monday, December 12, 2011 at The Maple Wood in Bloomer. She was born March 17, 1918 in the Town of Cleveland to Paul and Lydia (Kressin) Krueger. She married Edwin Hilger on May 13, 1938 in Cornell. Lucille was a farm wife and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bloomer. She enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, dancing, playing cards and bingo, walking and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by two daughters: Evelyn (Elmer) Ferstenou of Bloomer and Lois Fredrickson of Phoenix AZ; one brother: Allen (Elsie) Krueger of Bloomer; one sister: Doris (Robert) Lane of Bloomer; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Edwin; one son: Duane Hilger; one granddaughter: Lorena Newburry; one sister: Irene Kruger; three brothers: Robert, Herbert and Clarence Krueger.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bloomer with Rev. James Strand officiating. Interment will be in th Cornell Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:30 AM until the time of service on Thursday at St. Paul Lutheran Church. There will be no visitation Wednesday evening.
