Lorraine Davis

Lorraine M. Davis, age 88, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Wissota Health and Rehabilitation Center in Chippewa Falls. She was born December 31, 1921 in Bloomer to John & Rose (Urban) Wolf. She married Alfred Davis on February 19, 1945 in Sand Creek. Lorraine’s true joy was taking care of and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, feeding the birds, trips to the casino and listening to Polka Joe.

She is survived by seven sons: Ronnie (Cathy) Davis of Ridgeland, Randy (Debra) Davis of Eau Claire, Gary (Sue) Davis, Greg (Judy) Davis, Todd (Jean) Davis, Kevin (Heidi) Davis and Kirby (Leslie) Davis, all of Ridgeland; four daughters: Nancy (Fiancé: Herb Steinmetz) Davis of Elk Mound; Rosanne (Howie) Dahm of Cottage Grove MN, Kathy Mlejnek of Rice Lake and Rita (Dale) Johnson of Sommerset WI; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Alfred; one infant son; one grandson: Justin; two brothers: Roman and Dennis Wolf; one sister: Bernice Frion.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 3, 2011 at 10:30 AM at New Hope Lutheran Church in Sand Creek with Rev. Barb Koch officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Lunch will follow the service at the church. There will be no visitation Sunday evening.
