Lorena Prince

Lorena J. Prince, age 72, passed away Monday, May 11, 2009 at Luther Midelfort Chippewa Valley Hospital in Bloomer. She was born October 7, 1936 in Chippewa Falls to Harold & Mabel (Kressin) Schlender. She married Rolland G. Prince on June 29, 1957 at St. John’s in Cook’s Valley. Lorena worked as a hair stylist for over 50 years. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Ladies Aide & church choir, Maturity Matters and was one of the founders of the Bloomer Jaycetts. She enjoyed traveling, reading, knitting, baking and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband: Rollie of Bloomer; one son: Greg (Anne) Prince of Elkhorn WI; one daughter: Debi Prill of Bloomer; one sister: Sharon Steinmetz of Waupaca WI; 5 grandchildren: Eric, Ryan & Brent Prill of Bloomer, Justin & Adam Prince of Elkhorn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son: Mark Prince; infant daughter: Jean Prince.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bloomer with Rev. Robert Otto officiating. Interment will be in the Bloomer Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 �" 8:00 on Friday at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
