Loren Novak

Loren A. Novak, age 71, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, May 5, 2012 in Chetek in the same house he was born in on June 1, 1940 to William and Thelma (Monness) Novak. Loren served his country proudly as a member of the US Navy. He was married to Patricia Hook and then later married Jere Malsom on April 20, 1990. Loren worked as a Dairy Farmer his whole life on the family farm. He enjoyed shooting, working on and collecting guns, deer hunting, reading about guns & ammo, farming and spending time with his friends.

He is survived by his wife: Jere Novak: children: David and Colleen: stepsons: David (Jean) Malsom, Doug Malsom and Dan Malsom; 3 step-grandchildren, K-9 companions: Ajax and Mya; brothers: Kenneth (Ester) Novak, Gary Novak, Donald (Rose Marie) Novak and Dale Novak; sister: Carol (Ray) Cherney.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother and sister-in-law Allen and Janet Novak.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 12:00 PM at the Dovre Lutheran Church. Military rites will be performed by the Chetek VFW. A visitation will be held from 10:45 AM until the time of service at the church.
