Loren Ellis

Loren W. Ellis, age 94, passed away at his home in Elk Mound on Friday, November 24, 2017. He was born April 14, 1923 in Bloomer to Charles and Maude (Chase) Ellis. He married Evelyn Christianson on January 1, 1943 in Chippewa Falls. Loren served in the US Army during WWII and worked in many capacities for Chippewa County Dairy. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and the American Legion. He enjoyed meeting with the breakfast bunch, spending time with his family and friends and had a passion for buying and selling cars.

He is survived by his daughters: Kay (Fran) Seibel of Elk Mound and Brenda (Dennis) Gifford of Janesville WI; 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Charles and Maude Ellis, his wife: Evelyn; daughters: Marcia Ellis and Joyce Solberg; grandson: Benjamin Downing; brothers: Charles, Melvin and Perry Ellis; special friend: Dolly Engels.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer with a visitation one hour before the service on Saturday.
