Lois L. North (Lindblad)

Lois L. North, age 96, went to be with the Lord on August 8, 2021 at Dove Healthcare in Bloomer. She was born on May 27, 1925 in Chetek to Vern and Florence (Longman) Lindblad. In 1943, she was the only one from her family to graduate from High School. She married Doug M. North on August 19, 1944 at the Seventh Day Baptist Church in New Auburn. For many years, Lois was the secretary and bookkeeper at North Star Implement, a business that her husband owned and operated. She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers and was an excellent cook, mother and wife.

She is survived by her children: James (Karen) North, Robert (Inez) North, Bonnie (John) Lueck and Kathleen (Arthur) Harelstad; 11 grandchildren: Rick (Shelly) North, Kimberly (Brian) Wildenberg, Tamara North, Sarah North, Robert North, Anthony (Beckie) Lueck, Teri (Dan) Distaso, Robin Gaulrapp, Kristin (Brian) Grunewaldt, Todd (Ranee) Harelstad, Tanya (Jerry) Rogers; 21 great-grandchildren: Brooke Bailey, Cody Bailey, Shane North, Andrew (Amelia) North, Amy (Cory) Meinholt, Lindsey (Brian) Reuter, Kendra Lofthus, Cassandra (Andrew) Anderson, Tyler Lueck, Trevor Distaso, Rya Distaso, Gavin Distaso, Lydia Grunewaldt, Lucas Grunewaldt, Aiden Gaulrapp, Pippa Gaulrapp, Dawson Stroik, Carter Stroik, Elsa Harelstad, Ana Trowbridge, Ethan Trowbridge; 4 great-great-grandchildren: Jack Reuter, Sam Reuter, Tate Reuter, Raina Anderson; numerous other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Vern and Florence Lindblad; Husband: Doug; brothers: Merle and Harold Lindblad; sisters: Eleanor Nichols, Carol Howard, Madeline Moszkiewicz; mother-in-law: Kittie North; brothers-in-law: Duane, Rodney, Norris “Ike” and Warren; numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Jude’s in New Auburn with a visitation one hour before the services at the church. Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at olsonfuneralhomebloomer.com
