Linda Jean Parkhurst

Linda Jean (King) Parkhurst, age 76, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2023 at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, Wisconsin.  She was born June 17, 1947 in Chippewa Falls, the daughter of Walter and Marion (Newbury) King, and one of 15_children: Kathy, Ann, Wanda, Rodger, Robert, Debbie, Pat, Mike, Bruce, Sue, Wally Jr. Jeff, and a set of twins. She married Jesse Parkhurst on August 14, 1966 and together, they had two children, Tina and Tim.  Linda worked many years as a cook at Birch Point Resort, made wreaths for Kirkwoods and worked as a bartender/cook at Keystone Tavern.  Her last job was working in the deli for Kirkwoods until she retired.  Linda was an excellent cook, baker and seamstress.  She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, woodworking, going to thrift sales and riding on the pontoon. She loved taking long walks, visiting with her neighbors and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children:  Tina (Kirby) Plummer of New Auburn and Tim (Denise) Parkhurst of Chippewa Falls; grandchildren:  Randy (Krystal) Vasseur, Steven (Cassandra) Vasseur, Jessalyn (Kyle) Plummer, Kolton (Jessica) Plummer, Brandylyn (Brendon) Plummer, Ashley Parkhurst and Zachary Parkhurst;  great-grandchildren:  Sophia, Ember, Ash, Skyla, Annabelle, Jaxon and Willow;  boyfriend:  Paul McElroy; numerous siblings, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents:  Walter and Marion; husband:  Jesse;  numerous siblings.

Graveside services will be held on September 23, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the Cleveland Cemetery. A luncheon at N 2143 State Hwy 40 in Bruce will follow the servcie.  Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer is assisting the family.  Online Condolences may be expressed at olsonfuneralhomebloomer.com
