Obituary for Linda L. Hove (Kollwitz & McFarlane)

Linda Lou (McFarlane) Kollwitz Hove, age 56, passed away Friday, January 20, 2012 at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison. She was born November 13, 1956 in New Auburn to Jack and Theresa (Roskos) McFarlane. She graduated from the New Auburn High School. Linda married, and later divorced, Tim Kollwitz of New Auburn. Together they had three children: Ray, Paul and Jack. Linda worked on the farm while living in New Auburn and later worked as a real estate agent in the Hayward area. Anyone who knew Linda knew she lived life in the fast lane; the party started when she walked in the door. A real jokester, she liked playing cards with friends, dancing and reading a good book. Linda loved spending time outdoors fishing, four-wheeling, gardening and just enjoying nature.

Linda is survived by her three children: Ray (Carrie) Kollwitz of New Auburn, Paul (Amanda) Kollwitz of New Auburn and Jack (Jennifer) Kollwitz of Bloomington MN; eight grandchildren; her mother: Theresa McFarlane of Bloomer; siblings: Susan (Buckshot) Trowbridge of New Auburn, Jerry (Zelda) McFarlane of New Auburn, Nancy Brown of New Auburn, Jean Vagnoni of Franklin, Art (Devonah) McFarlane of New Auburn, Beth Wheeler of Augusta.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; one sister: Tanya McFarlane; her father: Jack McFarlane.

A celebration of Linda’s life will be held on Friday, January 27, 2012 at 6:00 PM at The Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer.
