Linda D. Harwood, age 68, passed away at home with her family by her side on Friday, November 15, 2019. She was born May 31, 1951 in Eau Claire. She grew up in Bloomer WI with her parents Roland and Vivian Clements. Linda was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer. There she married Harry R. Harwood on July 26, 1969. This year they had celebrated fifty years of marriage with many family and friends. Together they had four children: Lisa, Wendy, Jason and Sherri.
Linda was a compassionate caregiver for many years, working with adults with disabilities. She enjoyed many activities such as fishing and line dancing with Harry. She enjoyed music, whether it was singing solos at church or attending live concerts and shows. She enjoyed traveling, long or short drives, especially in her ’99 red Mustang convertible. Linda started “cousin’s day” where the cousins gathered and reminisced with old pictures of younger years.
She is survived by her husband: Harry of Bloomer; children: Lisa (Mark) Smith of Bloomer, Wendy (David) Kelm, Jr. of Bloomer, Jason (Jill) Harwood of Altoona and Sherri (Jamie) Sarauer of Colfax; sisters: Verna Clements, Wanda Goodrich and Sue Slover; 13 grandchildren: Breanna and Jacob Smith, Courtney and Austin (Shawna) Flick, Chantel Rogge, Kyndra Kelm, Spencer, Sawyer and Montana Harwood, Arionna Patrow, Taylor, Katelyn and Hayden Sarauer.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Roland and Vivian Clements
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer. Friends may call from 4:00 -8:00 on Thursday at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
