Lila R. Bischel (Klatt)

Lila R. Bischel, age 79, passed away at Gunderson Lutheran in La Crosse on May 4, 2021. She was born in Watertown SD on May 31, 1941 to Walter and Hildegard (Frentz) Klatt. She married Vernon Bischel on July 20, 1963 and later they divorced. Lila found joy in being a hard working farm wife. She enjoyed baking, gardening, canning, hunting and fishing. She looked forward to taking her grandchildren, nieces and nephews fishing, introducing them to the art of snagging a great catch. Most importantly, she was a loving mother and grandmother. There was nothing she loved more than spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her children: Jeffrey (Deb) Bischel of New Auburn, Darlene (Scott) Seaman of Bangor WI, Nancy Bischel of Weston WI and Thomas (Donna) Bischel of New Auburn; siblings: Fred (Marcia) Klatt of Bloomer, Illa “June” Evans of Bloomer, Marlowe Klatt of Island Lake, and Julius “Jay” Klatt of Bloomer; sister-in-law: Mavis Klatt of Bloomer; grandchildren: Keith Stachowitz, Annamarie Bischel, Rebecca Bischel, Nicholas Stachowitz, Jessica Pooler, Emily Bischel, Jazmin Pooler and Brady Bischel.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Walter and Hildegard Klatt; brothers: Marvin and Milo Klatt; sisters: Twila Hartung and Stena Susajlo; half-brothers: Kenneth Klatt and Robert Klatt; sisters-in-law: Vesta and Petra Klatt; brothers-in-law: Duane “Tim” Evans and Joe Susajlo
Graveside services will be held at the Bloomer Cemetery on Saturday May 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM with a visitation at the Moose Lodge following the service until 2:00 PM. Olson Funeral Home Bloomer is assisting the family; olsonfunerealhomebloomer.com
