Obituary for Lee Erickson

Lee Erickson, age 82, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at Luther Midelfort Chippewa Valley, Bloomer. He was born June 24, 1927 in Bloomer to Harry & Birdie (Smith) Erickson. He married Phyllis Stoyke on July 18, 1950 in Bloomer. Lee served in the Navy during WWII and worked as an electrician through the union in Eau Claire. He was a member of the Bloomer United Methodist Church, the Bloomer American Legion, The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and served as a councilman for two different wards in Bloomer. He enjoyed bowling, playing softball and playing football with the Chippewa Falls Marines. He loved telling a good joke, fixing things, helping his neighbors, visiting with people and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife: Phyllis of Bloomer; two daughters: Terri (Thomas) Nix of Carmel, Indiana & Heidi Erickson of Bloomer; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Milton & Monte; two sisters: Muriel (Kempe) Ingersoll & Sharilyn Brain.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 29 at the United Methodist Church in Bloomer with Pastor Heather Brewer officiating. Interment will be in the Bloomer Cemetery with graveside military rites performed by the Bloomer American Legion & VFW. Friends may call from 5:00 �" 8:00 on Friday at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
