Leda Adams

Leda “Marie” Adams, age 85, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at her home. She was born August 13, 1923 in Rice Lake WI to Delore Fredrick & Evelyn Marie (Demars) Gonyer. She married Malcolm Demers on December 30, 1940 in Rice Lake and William Adams on October 23, 1965 in Stillwater MN. She worked as a homemaker, waitress and business owner. She was a member of NAIM Group and served as president for four years. Marie enjoyed playing cards, sewing, fishing and spending time with her family.

She is survived by six sons: Lynn (Patricia) of Cornell, Dale (Sandra) of Vancouver WA, Don (Linda) of Chippewa Falls, Todd (Jo Ann) of Baldwin, Paul of Bloomer & John of Chippewa Falls; five daughters: Yvonne Peil of Bloomer, Carol (Rodney) Davis of Ranson WV, Elaine (John) Kopping of Rice Lake, Judy Conley of Apple Valley MN & Nancy (Nick) Minford of Bloomer;one sister Delores Durch of Bloomer. 18 grandchildren & 31 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands: Malcolm Demers & William Adams; one son: Terry; one infant daughter; five brothers: Isadore & Maurice Gonyer, Neil Gagner and two infants; one grandson & two great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 23, 2009 at 1:00 PM at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bloomer with Father James Arthur officiating. Interment will be in St. Catherine’s Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 �" 8:00 on Thursday at the Olson Funeral Home where there will be a Christian Wake Service at 7:30 PM.
