Larry P. Pinter, age 68, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chippewa Falls. Larry was the oldest son of Roman and Erna Pinter. He was raised in the Chippewa Falls area, graduating from Chippewa Falls McDonell High School and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
Larry was proud to say he worked for Kohl’s Department stores for 31 years. He worked at various stores in Wisconsin as an assistant manager, store manager and district manager throughout his career with Kohl’s.
He was an avid sports fan and particularly enjoyed watching his sons play league and high school soccer, never missing one of their games. He was also a fan of the Marquette Warriors, Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers.
The last eleven years Larry and Marlene spent the winter months in Cape Coral, Florida. Larry enjoyed boating in the gulf and dolphin watching. He also enjoyed the summer months in Wisconsin, the quiet time on Marshmiller Lake and visiting with all his friends at Birch Point Resort.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years: Marlene of rural Bloomer; three sons: Brian (Becky) of Milwaukee, Erik (Jenny) of Appleton and Karl (Erin) of Plover; two grandchildren: Allison and Lindsey Pinter, both of Appleton; one brother: Ray Pinter of Apache Junction AZ; numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister: Darlene.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 12, 2010 at 12:00 PM at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer with David W. Olson officiating. There will be a time of gathering from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home
