Larry Loew

Bloomer Larry Paul “Sonny” Loew, age 66. passed away at his home on Sunday, August 3, 2008. He was born September 12, 1941 in Bloomer to Vernon P. & Phyllis (Williams) Loew. He served in the Army, doing one tour of duty in Viet Nam and was a member of VFW Post 7232 in Eau Claire. He worked as an electrician and was a lifetime member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and traveling.

He is survived by his wife, Gayle, two sons: Josh & Chad and three grandchildren: North, Nicole & Gage, all of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho; one brother: Dennis Loew of Chippewa Falls; special friend: Virginia “Ginny” Miller of Eau Claire; numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister: Verdella.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2008 at 1:00 PM at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer. Friends may call one hour prior to services on Saturday. Interment of cremains will be in the NW Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Spooner on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at 1:00 PM.
