Kathryn Nelson

Kathryn F. Nelson, age 80, passed away on May 28, 2025 at MCHS in Bloomer. She was born November 14, 1944 in Chippewa Falls to Ernest and Goldean (Kneifl) Gehring. She married Jerry Nelson on February 16, 1963 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bloomer. Kathryn worked as a CNA at the Bloomer Hospital, as a dispatcher for the Bloomer Police Department and was proud to be a gold star mother. In her free time she enjoyed cross-stitching, bowling, putting together jigsaw puzzles, playing cards (especially Tic), and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband: Jerry; son: Brian (Lisa) Nelson, daughter: Renea (Timothy) Nelson; daughter-in-law: Cassie Nelson; brothers: Tom (Sandy) Gehring, Pete (Kay) Gehring and Steve (Pam) Gehring; grandchildren: Nicole (John), Jacob (Laura), Sasha, Paige, Danielle (Will), James (Raquel) Nadia (Zach) and Zoey; 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Ernest and Goldean Gehring; son: Rocky Nelson.
