June Pearson

Auburn June “Cookie” Pearson, age 83 , passed away on Friday, February 3, 2012 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. She was born September 22, 1928 in Bloomer to Leonard and Hazel (Bailey) O’rourke. She was first married to Paul Anderson and then later married James J. Pearson on December 22, 1958 in Libertyville IL. June worked as a Honey Bee Honey Extractor for many years. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Red Hat Society and in her free time she enjoyed dancing, reading, going out to eat, and spending time with her friends and family.

She is survived by three sons: James (Tiffany) Pearson, of Oshkosh, Leonard (Bobbie) Pearson of New Auburn, Paul (Heidi) Anderson of Williamsburg VA; four daughters: Karen J. Anderson of Bloomer, Patricia Anderson of Eau Claire, Laurie (Chuck) Caputa of Durango CO, and Patricia Pearson of Eau Claire; brother James (Joan) O’Rourke of Boston; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands: Paul and James, sisters: Loretta Carol, grandson Santois Caputa


Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday February, 8, 2012 at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer at 11:00 AM. There will be a visitation from 4:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at the funeral home.
