Obituary for Julian Raymond Berg

Julian Berg, age 98, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2008 at Colfax Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was born November 15, 1909 in the Town of Wilson, Dunn County, to Herman & Minnie (Gilberts) Berg. He married Mildred Johnson on June 11, 1942 in Sand Creek. He worked as an electrician, a dairy farmer and for Chibardun Telephone Company. He was a lifetime member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church & New Hope Lutheran Church in Sand Creek and enjoyed carving, fishing and spending time with relatives and friends.

He is survived by two sisters: Amie Dobbs of Menomonie & Nila Erickson of New Richmond; two brothers: Henry (Dawn) Berg of New Auburn and Alden (Gert) Berg of New Auburn; numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Morris, Archie & Lester Berg; two sisters: Fern Johnson & Alpha Jorstad.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2008 at 11:00 AM at New Hope Lutheran Church in Sand Creek. Interment will be in Our Savior’s Cemetery in Sand Creek. Friends may call from 5:00 �" 7:00 on Wednesday at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer and one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.
