Joseph Prince

Joseph A. Prince, age 62, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire. He was born January 16, 1947 in Chippewa Falls to David J. & Mary M. (Sykora) Prince. He married Carolyn Gustafson on August 3, 1968 in Hudson. Joe served in the Navy Seabees and was the owner of Colfax Auto Body Shop. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church where he served on the Parish Council. He was also a member of the Knight’s of Columbus, the Chippewa Valley Auto Body Association and was on the Advisory Board for the CVTC Auto Body Program. He enjoyed working in the shop, cutting wood, playing baseball and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife: Carolyn of Bloomer; three sons: Kenneth (Michelle) Prince of Rapid City SD, Nathan (Cindy Siemer) Prince of Colfax & Elijah (Amanda) Prince of Bloomer; one daughter: Catherine (Chris) Lenfestey of Eau Claire; five brothers: Mike (Michelle) of Racine, Pat of Bloomer, James (Carmen) of Chippewa Falls, Stan (Laurie) of Chippewa Falls & David (Tonya) of Chippewa Falls; six sisters: Rose (Robert) Theurer of Stratford WI, Elizabeth (Jerry) Rubenzer of Bloomer, Theresa (Larry) Calkins of Bloomer, Dotty Prince of Castle Rock CO, Virginia (Thomas) Lydon of Enterprise AL & Victoria (Rick)Prince of Corpus Christi TX; 9 grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at 10:30 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Cook’s Valley. Interment will be in the St. John’s Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 �" 8:00 on Tuesday at The Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer where there will be a Christian Wake Service at 7:30 PM.
