John Dahlke

John W. Dahlke, age 62, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Luther Midelfort Chippewa Valley in Bloomer. He was born May 13, 1947 in Milwaukee to Elmer & Clara (Erickson) Dahlke. He married Ronda Gunderson on February 24, 1996. He proudly served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked as a realtor and was a member of Chetek Lutheran Church. He loved golfing, snorkeling, traveling, tending his salt water aquarium, life on the lake and being outdoors. He also enjoyed being around people and living life to the fullest with his family, friends and dogs.

He is survived by his wife: Ronda of Chetek; four children: Chris (Jane) Dahlke of Green Bay, Kimberly (David) Jansen of Mesa AZ, Travis (Missy) Hammer of Sheboygan & Trisha (Chad) Slater of Osceola WI; two brothers: Alan (Donna) Dahlke of Rockford IL & Paul (Geraldine) Dahlke of Jackson WI; brother-in-law: Arlan (Sandi) Gunderson of Chetek; sister-in-law: Joyce (Dana) Ferry of East Bethel MN; eight grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends; special companions, his dogs Buster and Bandit

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Chetek Lutheran Church with Rev. Guy Redford officiating. Interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Chetek with military graveside rites performed by the Chetek American Legion & VFW. Friends may call from 4:00 �" 8:00 PM on Saturday at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer and one hour prior to services on Sunday at the Church.
