Joe E. Larson

Joe E. Larson, age 68, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2016 at MCHS in Bloomer. He was born September 2, 1948 in Amery to Wayne and Iris (Gale) Larson. He married Betty Ostenson on December 17, 1966 in Clear Lake WI. Joe was a self-employed over-the-road truck driver and enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to Canada with friends, heading to the cabin with family and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his mother: Iris of Amery; his wife: Betty of Bloomer; two daughters: Michelle (Kyle) Rufledt of Bloomer and Keri Espinal of Bloomer; son-in-law: Carlos Espinal of Bloomer; brothers: Dan (Jocelyn) Larson of Menomonie, Don (Jill) Larson of Amery and Dick (Julie) Larson of Connorsville; sisters: Mona (Randy) Paulson of Clear Lake WI, Beth (Keith) Smith of Big Lake MN and Jeannie (Scott) Larson-Ertle of Stillwater MN; grandchildren: Naomi, Jenna and Mikayla Rufledt, Samy Espinal and Seth Larson; great-granddaughter: Kaydin Kelm.

He was preceded in death by his father: Wayne Larson; son: Robert Larson; daughter: Jolene Larson and grandson: Juan Espinal.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at 2:00 PM at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer. There will be a visitation from 4:00 – 7:00 on Saturday at Olson Funeral home in Bloomer and one hour prior to services at the church on Sunday. Burial of cremains will take place at a later date.
