Jody J. Schmidt

Jody J. Schmidt, age 56, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 1, 2016. He was born October 12, 1960 in Chippewa County to Reuben and Pearl (Rubenzer) Schmidt. He married Sandy Rediger on June 3, 1988 in Bloomer. Jody worked as a sales manager for Arrow Builders in Chippewa Falls. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, boating, golfing, playing pool and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife: Sandy of Bloomer; brother: Steve (Carole) Schmidt of Bloomer; sister: Sharon (Gerald) Hartman of Eau Claire; step-brothers: Tom (Janet) Krenz and Jim Krenz; step-sisters: Shirley Berg and Connie Oldendorf; numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Reuben and Pearl Schmidt; step-father: Murray Krenz; step-sisters: Kay Mortenson and Lani Volkman.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 7, 2016 at 7:00 PM at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer with a visitation from 4:00 – 7:00 at the church.
