Joanne E. Woodmansee

Joanne E. Woodmansee, age 83, passed away at Heritage Court on Friday, September 15, 2017. She was born on September 29, 1933 in Bloomer, WI to Darrel and Ellenor (Heidtke) Marquardt. Joanne married Lloyd Woodmansee on March 28, 1953, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bloomer. She worked as a school teacher and a homemaker. She had a strong faith and was active in both Hope United Methodist Church in Eau Claire and the New Auburn United Methodist Church. She loved children and she and Lloyd took care of newborn foster babies for a time. She enjoyed taking mission trips, teaching Sunday school, and gardening.

Joanne is survived by her husband Lloyd of Eau Claire, son Jim (Janice) of Saratoga Springs, UT, Daughters, Cari (Richard “Jake”) Jacobson of Eau Claire and Laurie Evenson of Milaca, MN.; sisters, Gloria La Belle of Toronto and Deanna (Vernon) Stuckert of Bloomer; five grandchildren, eight great -grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Darrel and Ellenor.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday October 7, 2017 at 10:00AM at Hope United Methodist Church in Eau Claire and 3:00PM at the New Auburn United Methodist Church. Memorials will be directed to Gideons International. Olson Funeral Home and Cremation is assisting the family.
