Joanne Anderson

Joanne Ruth Anderson passed away on January 17, 2023 at Sophie’s Manor in Centuria, Wisconsin under the care of Adoray Hospice. 

She was born on July 30, 1940 in Chippewa Country, Wisconsin to Ruth (Balts) and Alex Dresel.

Joanne graduated from Chippewa Fall High School in 1958.

Joanne worked at Falls Dairy in Jim Falls where she met her husband, Henry (Sonny) Anderson, whom she married in 1961 at the Jim Falls Methodist Church. The couple resided in Cornell eventually moving to Bloomer in the 1970s where Joanne was employed as a homemaker on the family farm.

Joanne was an avid crafter, excellent gardener, and loved to bake and sew.  She a member of the Bloomer United Methodist Church and was active in 4-H, serving as a leader of the Hay Creek Ramblers club for several years.

Joanne is survived by her two daughters; Tricia Metts of Johnson City, Tennessee and Tessa Anderson of Siren, Wisconsin; and her grandson, Trenton Anderson of Siren, Wisconsin.

Joanne was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Henry.

A memorial service will be held in the summer with burial on the Copp Cemetery.  Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer is assisting the family.  Online condolences can be expressed at olsonfuenralhomebloomer.com.
