Joan Elizabeth Bathke

Joan E. Bathke, age 78, passed away on April 1, 2023, at Dove Healthcare in Bloomer, Wisconsin. She was born December 31, 1944, in Durand, Wisconsin to Leonard and Etola (Tumm) Fleming.  In 1962 she married Marshall Warner and they had 3 children: Mark, James and Tony. On August 23, 1980 she married Wayne Bathke. They owned and operated a farm in the Bloomer area. Joan was a very hard worker and always had the coffee pot ready for visitors. Her family was very important to her and she enjoyed the visits from the grandchildren and great grandchildren and always tried to have a special gift for them.

She is survived by two sons: James of New Auburn and Tony of Chetek; step-daughter:  Jody (Jim) Gadke of Cadott; grandchildren:  Kyle (Marissa) Warner of Bloomer, Samantha (Chris Bollum) Warner of Cadott, Kaitlin (Cody Haack) Warner of Bloomer, Joseph Warner of Washington, Samantha Hakes of Cornell;  Bonus grandchild:  Amanda Bleskacek; great-grandchildren:  Zoey, Neena, Sadie, Payton, Meadow Willow and Keifer; siblings: Mary Basacker, Robert Fleming, Maxine King and Gene Fleming; special friends:  Shelly Mattson and Missy Warner;  and also many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents:  Leonard and Etola; son: Mark; husband Marshall and husband Wayne; grandchild:  Justin Warner; sisters; Alice, Norma and Doris step-children: Kelly Winger and Wayne “Buck” Bathke, Jr.

A celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 - 4:00pm on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at the Bloomer Moose Lodge, 1890 9th Ave, Bloomer, WI 54724
