Jerry H. Berg, age 78, formerly of Bloomer, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Pueblo West CO on March 21, 2019. He was born July 25, 1940 at home in the Town of Cook’s Valley. He graduated from Bloomer High School in 1958. He joined the US Army and was stationed in Germany. After his service, he was employed by ICX Trucking in Chicago. He was transferred to Denver, where he worked until his retirement. He then moved to Montana where he owned and operated a motel. He also worked in construction in Phoenix, AZ and St. Charles, IL. Eventually, he settled in Pueblo West, Colorado. He loved hunting, taking long walks, taking care of his trees and yard, and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan.
He is survived by sisters: Susan (David) Brehm of Altoona and Linda (Kirk) Olson of Eau Claire; niece: Laura (Chris) Davison; nephews: Damien Judkins and John Brehm; great-nephew: Calvin Davison.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Clarence and Irma (Kowalke) Berg and brothers: Gordon and Allen.
Graveside services will be held at a later date at the Bloomer Cemetery. Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer is assisting the family.
