Jerome A Dahl

Jerome A Dahl, age 94, passed away Monday, April 1, 2019 at Dove Healthcare in Bloomer. He was born March 27, 1925 in Dunn County to Alvin I. and Sophie W. (Ingebretson) Dahl. He worked as a farmer and a carpenter. He married Mary Ruth Calkins on August 17, 1957 in Mora MN and, despite being divorced, they remained best friends. He enjoyed fishing, doing woodworking, playing horseshoes and pool. Jerome was quit a jokester and loved spending time with family and friends, as well as giving them a hard time!

He is survived by his son: Jerome “Jerry“ Dahl of New Auburn; daughters: Jo Scheurer of Rice Lake, Jacki (Jeff) Patz of New Auburn, Karen Court of Rochelle IL and Betsy Damico of Freeport IL; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Alvin and Sophie Dahl; sister and brother-in-law: Angeline “Pansy” and Elmer Ferg; granddaughter: Traci Pavez; best friend: Mary Dahl.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 6:00 PM at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer with a visitation from 4:00 – 6:00 PM.
