Jean Marie Reischel (Ellis)

Jean Marie Reischel, age 85, passed away at her home on Saturday, October 31, 2020. She was born June 16, 1935 in Wisconsin to Merle and Helen (Schindler) Ellis. She married Gilbert L. Reischel on May 5, 1952. Jean worked hard on their family farm and enjoyed gardening, especially her blueberries. She was an excellent cook and spent many hours watching the birds at her many bird feeders. She especially loved spending time with her family, friends and cat, Squeak.

She is survived by her sons: Dan (Lynn) Reischel of Bloomer, Steven (Rita) Reischel of Evansville WI, David (Sandra) Reischel of Bloomer and Jeff Reischel of Westboro WI; daughters: Kathy Girga of Superior WI and Christine (Michael) Peterson of Elk Mound WI; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Merle and Helen Ellis; husband: Gilbert; brothers: Edmund, Kenneth and one infant brother; sisters: Shirley Bowe, Grace Ellis, Donna Mae Loew and Linda Snyder.

Graveside services will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church Cemetery on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 1:00 PM. Please practice social distancing and CDC guidelines. Online condolences may be expressed at olsonfuneralhomebloomer.com
