Jean E. Parkhurst

Jean E. Parkhurst, age 80, passed away at Cornell Area Nursing Home on Saturday, April 30, 2016. She was born on March 29, 1936 to Grover and Mary (Olson) Hayes. She married Leon M. Parkhurst on April 18, 1957. Jean worked as a machine operator for Hubbard Scientific for many years. In her free time she enjoyed quilting, playing cards, sewing, crocheting, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by three sons: Bill, Robert (Barbara) and Richard (Jennifer); one daughter: Marijean (Randy) Sippy; brother Perry Hayes: nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Grover and Mary; Leon; grandson: Joshua Ford; brothers: Otto, George, and Jerry Hayes; sister: Olga Ducommun

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will take place at the Cleveland Cemetery.
