Janet G. Rogge

Janet G. Rogge, age 90, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Dove Healthcare in Bloomer, WI.

Janet was born on July 29, 1933, in Chippewa Falls to George and Lois (Turner) Rubenzer. She was the first of five sisters. Janet attended the one room country Bartlette Grade School in Eagle Point and graduated from Chippewa Falls High School. She worked in the booking department at Mason Shoe Company in Chippewa Falls. On February 11, 1956, she married Willard Rogge at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer, WI. She was a member of St. John’s and worked with the funeral group. 

She was a farmer’s wife and a stay-at-home mom. In her younger years, Janet enjoyed bowling, old time music and Mollie B. She loved gardening, bird watching, taking care of her flower gardens, playing cards, polka dancing and cooking. Janet loved spending time at the lake with family and friends and taking the grandchildren down to the creek to trout fish. 

Janet is survived by her son: Roc (Debbie) Rogge of Bloomer and their children: Dustin (Courtney) of Bloomer, Kayla Rogge of Eau Claire; daughter: Ronda (Kevin) Ludwigson of New Auburn and their children: Lucas (Staci) of Chetek, Tye (Kelli) of New Auburn, Tana of Minnesota; daughter: Rainy (Gordy) Foiles of Cadott and their children: Isaac Rogge Lofthus of Bloomer, Shelby Lofthus of Madison and Nick Foiles of Chicago; 9 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Ione Olson and Audrey (Elmer) Bingelli, both of California and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Willard Rogge in 2021; parents: George and Lois Rubenzer; sisters: Joyce Brancato and Lucille Campbell; in-laws: Leroy Black, George Brancato, Mel Campbell and Milton Olson. 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 21, 2024 at Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer. Visitation will be from 11:00 to 1:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Bloomer Cemetery. The service will be live streamed on Olson Funeral Home’s Facebook page. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Dove Healthcare, Dr. Bruxvoort and Mayo Hospice for all their care shown to mom.
