Janet Novak

Janet C. Novak, age 65, passed away at the Lakeview Medical Center in Rice Lake on Sunday, January 15, 2012. She was born on June 10, 1946 in Rice Lake to Carl and Julia (Abrahamson) Pinnerud. She married Allen Novak on June 23, 1962 at Dovre Lutheran Church. Janet was a domestic engineer taking care of her children and husband. She was a member of Dovre Lutheran Church, WELCA, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and the West Oak Grove Ladies Circle. In her free time Janet enjoyed reading, bird watching embroidery, gardening and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her sons: Jim Novak of Rice Lake and David Novak of Chetek; daughter: Pam Smith of New Auburn; grandchildren: Ryan Hanson , Sarah Hanson, Devin Smith, Zane Smith, Joshua Flug, Adair Flug, Jesse Flug; great-grandchildren: Dalton Flug, Noah and Issac Hanson, Cole and Jasmine Olson and Chasity Flug; numerous other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband: Allen; daughter: Michele Flug brother: David Pinnerud, grandson: Michael Jacobsen.

Funeral services will be held at Dovre Lutheran Church on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 11:00 AM. There will be a visitation at the church from 9:00-11:00 AM on Thursday. Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer is assisting the family.
