James Sylvan “Jim” Zwiefelhofer, age 70, died peacefully at his home in Bloomer on Friday, October 5, 2018 after a long struggle with health complications. He was born July 4, 1948 in Bloomer to Lawrence and Ella (Schuster) Zwiefelhofer. He married Bonita Bowe on August 2, 1969 and together they raised 4 children. After their divorce, he met Rosie (Ziebell) Reid in 1997 and they were married on August 10, 2010. Jim farmed in the early years and later worked for Stolt Excavating and J & D Manufacturing. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, watching sports but, most important was spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife: Rosie; children: Pamela (Scott) Estes, Brenda (Jeff) Rothbauer, Wendy (Kristi Tableman) Zwiefelhofer and James (Kate) Zwiefelhofer; step-daughter: Stacey (Bill) Wyss; grandchildren: Alexis and Marcus Rothbauer, Sam and Brody Zwiefelhofer, Allison and Lauren Tableman, Ashley (Talon) Gamboni, Andrew (Allison) Wyss, Abby Wyss; great-granddaughter: Lillian Gamboni.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Lawrence and Ella Zwiefelhofer; Sister: Delaine (Lamoine) Nelson, brother: Delvin (Marilyn) Zwiefelhofer; grandson: Dominic Rothbauer,
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 1:00 PM at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bloomer with a visitation from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the church.
