James E. Lane

James E. Lane, age 81, passed away Friday, August 21, 2020 at his home in Bloomer. He was born June 19, 1939 in Bloomer to Raymond and Lenora (Meier) Lane. He married Jan Lehrer on March 27, 1960. Following her death, he married Cleo A. Posey on September 16, 1997. Jim served in the Army and was an operator at Amaco. He enjoyed hunting, bowling and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife: Cleo of Bloomer; son: John (Marlene) Lane of Bloomer; daughters: Jackie (Mark) Baier of Bloomer and Jeannine (Robert) Raycher of Greenwood; step-son: Thomas (Becky) Pratt, Jr. of Chippewa Falls; brother: Paul (Frances) Lane of Bloomer; sisters: Ruth Hilger of Chippewa Falls and Alice Lane of Bloomer; step-daughter-in-law: Kris Pratt of Eau Claire; step son-in-law: Bob Duval of New Richmond; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Ray and Lenora Lane; first wife: Jan; brother: Robert Lane; step-son: William Pratt; step-daughter: Mary Duval; great-granddaughter: Stormi Ann Baier

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at 5:30 PM with a visitation from 4:00 – 5:30 at the Olson Funeral home in Bloomer. Burial will be in the South Catholic Cemetery. Military honors will be preformed by the Bloomer American Legion/VFW/AMVETS. Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer is assisting the family. Please follow social distancing guidelines.
