Inez M, Brandstatter

Inez M. Brandstatter, age 83, passed away December 30, 2013 at MCHS in Bloomer. She was born on January 22, 1930 in the Town of Sampson to John and Grace (Mattson) Avery. She married Herman Brandstatter on July 12, 1949 and worked at the Ice Age Center and at Moore Foods in Rice Lake. Inez served for two years on the Maplewood school board. She loved her annual fishing trips to Canada and always looked forward to helping make maple syrup and bottle it every spring. One of the highlights of her life was going on a road trip with Herman to Alaska and enjoying all the beautiful sights. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Inez is survived by her loving husband Herman of 64 years. She is also survived by three sons: Dennis (Karyl) of New Auburn, Dale (Debbie) of Ladysmith, and Rodney Brandstatter of Smithfield UT; seven grandchildren: Travis, Alyssa, Krystal, Michelle, Katelin, Michael, and Jamie. She is also survived by her three precious great-grandchildren: Brodie, Riley and Emma; her special K9 companion, Misty, and her birds.

She is preceded in death by her parents John and Grace; son: Wayne Brandstatter; siblings: Leroy, Chester, Agatha, Noani and Esther; and one grandson, Brandy.

There will be a visitation from 4:00-8:00 PM on Friday, January 10, 2013 at Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer, with a special eulogy officiated by her nephew, Wayne, at 7:30 PM. A graveside funeral service will be held in the spring.
