Ila D Weiher

Ila D. Weiher, age 97, passed away on November 20, 2015 at Dove Health Care in Bloomer. She was born September 25, 1918 in the town of Auburn to Adolph and Lulu Belle (Cook) Reetz. She lived on the family farm until 1949 when she and her parents moved to Bloomer where she worked as a telephone operator until the “dial phone” took over. She worked as a waitress and as a sewer at Mason Shoe until July 1, 1961 when she married Fritz Weiher. She volunteered taking people to the doctor and to the grocery store and enjoyed shopping and playing cards.

She is survived by nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Adolph and Lulu; husband: Fritz in 1980; siblings: Merlyn “Pete” Reetz and an infant sister.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer with a visitation from 12:00-1:00 PM before the service.
