Helen L Phenicie

Helen L. Phenicie, age 100, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Dove Healthcare in Bloomer, where she lived for the past 4 ½ years. Helen moved from her home in Hector, Minnesota to Chippewa Falls in 2003 to be closer to her family. She was born in Mallard Iowa on October 26, 1917 to Fred and Sadie Kirtz. She married Byron Phenicie on May 24, 1938 in Hector. While living in Hector she enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family and was an active member of St. John’s Parish. Helen and Byron also enjoyed spending many winters in Arizona.

She is survived by her daughter: Maureen (Alan Bohl) Wirth; son Michael (Elizabeth) Phenicie; grandchildren: Angela Phenicie, Tonya (Joe) Miller, Nicole (Royce) Ruter, Tara (Bill) Faschingbauer, Robert Phenicie, Adam (Holly) Phenicie and Christopher Phenicie; great grand-children: Oskar, Effen, Echo, Jacob, Kyle, Allison, Claire, Kate and Nolan; brothers: Father Raymond Kirtz and Gerald Kirtz, many special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Fred and Sadie, husband: Byron, son: Donald, brothers: Russell, Delmar, Dormond, Robert and Alvin

Funeral Services will be held at St. John’s Catholic Church in Hector Minnesota. Hughes-Hantge Funeral Home is assisting the family in Hector and Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer.
