Helen Cartwright

Spring Green WI Helen I. Cartwright, age 86, formerly of New Auburn, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at Greenway Manor Nursing Home in Spring Green WI. She was born March 13, 1922 in Sand Creek to Engwald & Lillian (Donaldson) Swenson. She married Norman “Lavon” Cartwright on September 2, 1945 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Sand Creek. She worked as a nurse’s aide at Bloomer Hospital for many years and was a member of the New Auburn United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, knitting, driving, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by two daughters: Beverly (Arthur) Potter of Mazomanie & Gaile Hayes of Eau Claire; one daughter-in-law: Shirley Cartwright of Janesville; 8 grandchildren & 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Lavon; one son: Randy Lee Cartwright; one brother: John Swenson.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 3:00 PM at the United Methodist Church in New Auburn with Rev. Andy Husband officiating. Interment will be in the New Auburn Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 �" 7:00 on Friday at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
