Hazel Klund, age 94 passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Hetzel Care Center in Bloomer.
She was born September 18, 1918 in the Township of Woodmohr, Chippewa County, Wisconsin to Rasmus and Sophie (Pederson) Mullen. She married Harold Klund on April 12, 1941 in Bloomer. She was employed at the Farmer’s Store in Bloomer and then as a CNA at the Bloomer Hospital and later at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chippewa Falls until her retirement after 27 years. She loved taking care of the babies!
Hazel is survived by three sons: Fred (Pat) Klund of Las Vegas NV, Thomas (Dolores) Klund of Chippewa Falls and Steve (Mary) Klund of Chippewa Falls; two daughters: Yvonne (Don) Ryder of Wausau and Karen (Mylon Magnuson) Klund of Bloomer; 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Rasmus and Sophie Mullen; her husband: Harold; one brother: Herbert Mullen; three sisters: Evelyn Faschingbauer, Agnes Mullen and Ragna Nienast; one son-in-law: Al Michaelis; one sisters-in-law: Hildagard Mullen; three brothers-in-law: Robert Faschingbauer, Leonard Porter and Alvin Nienast.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
