Harold Gordon Sprung

On April 26, 2018, Harold Gordon Sprung, after 83 years of a full life, left his earthly body to go to heaven and be with his family there. He fought a courageous battle with many illnesses but when the Savior called, he went home to heaven – telling jokes and singing songs to the end.

Harold was born on September 14, 1934 in Canada to Gordon and Ellen E. (Scharf) Sprung. He worked hard at various jobs throughout his life. He loved to go horseback riding and could visit with anyone he met, wherever they met. He was an avid reader of just about any subject. He was a true collector of “valuables” and loved to figure out how to fix almost anything. He had a very inquisitive mind and loved to find out how something was made or what made it work. Harold and remarkable memory for songs, jokes and poems. He loved to tell a joke and also loved to hear a good joke, laughing fully and loudly. His jokes, songs and smiling face will be missed greatly by all who ever met him.

He reluctantly left his wife of 42 years, Crystal Joy; 3 brothers and 1 sister in Canada; numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law in Wisconsin; and many other relatives and friends.
