Obituary for Harlan T. Anderson

Harlan T. Anderson, age 80, passed away on May 01, 2017 at home. He was born August 30, 1936 in Sand Creek WI to John and Helene (Hanson) Anderson. He married Lana Lawrenz on May 25, 1974 in Rankin WI. Harlan worked as a dairy farmer and was an active member of New Hope Lutheran Church. He enjoyed stewardship of the land and serving faithfully at his church and in community groups. He also enjoyed reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends, especially playing cards.

He is survived by his wife: Lana; children: Marc (Kristen) Anderson, Kristin (Colby) Turner and Beth (Adam) Kirby; grandchildren: Isaac and Luke Anderson and Trent and Rachel Turner; sisters: Janice (Roger) Horn, Carol Anderson, Norma (Robert) Klimpke, Sandra Anderson and Corinne (Dennis) Koehler; brother-in-law: Lee Lawrenz; sisters-in-law: Linda (Paul) Hering and Margaret Anderson.

He was preceded in death by his parents: John and Helene Anderson; father and mother in-law: Everett and Pearl Lawrenz; brothers: Glenn and Duane (Cintra) Anderson; sister: Mavis Anderson.

A Memorial Service will be held at New Hope Lutheran Church in Sand Creek on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 on Sunday, May 7 at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer and one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.
